My academic degrees, awards and achievements are listed here for you. These however, are not how I measure my qualifications to help people suffering with chronic pain and illness, plus wellness and health maintenance support. Whether or not my academic credentials impress you, I believe is irrelevant.
In my opinion, the RESULTS I help you achieve, and how well I treat you as a person are what really matter. I am proud to tell you that since 1993, chronic pain sufferers have embraced my natural treatment methods and me. It has been my privilege and joy to end years of pain and suffering, and reliance on prescription drugs for thousands of people. Many of these patients were told by previous doctors that they “HAD to learn to live with their pain” or that "NOTHING could be done" to help them.
I feel it is important for you to take steps to find out whether or not to trust a doctor, including myself. It is your health and your body that's at stake. It is not something to take lightly. These days, so many health websites, magazines, and newsletters are promoting health products and providing advice. Pharmaceutical companies are directly advertising their drugs to you, before your doctor might even mention them. Have you noticed that they never recommend that you consider natural treatments?
It is wise to consider or question everyone’s motivation. Why are they recommending their products or services? And if you are satisfied with the answers to those questions, you must find out their credentials and qualifications.
But the problem lies in the motivation. Even if you’re impressed with a doctor’s credentials, you must carefully consider their reasons for using the treatments they use. If you’re really interested in the reality of our health care system, take a good look at how a great deal of medical research is conducted. If you don’t believe the outcomes of pharmaceutical research are not influenced by the financial interests of those who fund them; you’d better take a closer look. At the LIebell Clinic, our motivation is simple: to enable you to recover from chronic pain and illness, and provide you with the tools to help yourself, so you can get well and stay well.
I accomplish this by:
(1) Utilizing and recommending treatments and technologies that will bring you relief as quickly, completely and safely as possible. This also means that I don’t ONLY recommend MY own services. This means that I don’t subscribe to the idea of forcing patients to choose between conventional or alternative medicine.
(2) Teaching you everything I possibly can about health and fitness. This includes directing you to all the health resources I personally use for my family and myself.
(3) I don’t hesitate to tell you the harsh reality of health care. This means I will steer you towards the truth and frequent dangers of blindly following the conventional wisdom in health care.
I personally pay for everything myself regarding my practice and this website. Nobody does it for me. I have no obligations or ties to big corporations, advertisers or any manufacturer of any health product. I don’t receive sales commissions, nor do I participate in any multilevel marketing systems. Nobody gives me a penny to promote their products or services. Nor do I refer to other health professionals because they’re my personal friends (actually none of them are).
Any treatments, health-related products, foods, supplements, retail stores, websites, professional services, etc. that I recommend are done so because I have researched them and in most cases, my family and I have used them ourselves.
Considering all the hype and greed-inspired advertising razzle-dazzle that’s going on out there; I think you’ll be quite pleased with my no-nonsense. As far as my academic and professional credentials go; they are listed below. I’m certain you’ll discover that I bring something unique and very special to the table. With the term holistic or natural being thrown around so liberally, I can proudly say that I truly do treat the whole person—not merely the symptoms of your condition.
I’m passionate about improving my patients’ health attitudes and lifestyles. I’m a patient’s health advocate. I’m also deeply immersed in the blossoming field known as Anti-aging Medicine. That means that I don’t accept old age as something on which to blame your pain or ill health.
I am trained in various drug-free and non-surgical procedures. I’ve been a natural healthcare practitioner my entire career. Since 1993, my patients have defined my roles. They have turned to me to find solutions to their chronic problems. Natural solutions.
For example, I achieved my expertise regarding Lyme disease as a result of finding out how my wife, Sheila could get well...and have delivered the same treatment for others. I am qualified and equipped to serve you in your quest to recover because I am duplicating the process for you, by which my family got well.
I have more or less exclusively treated people who had been turned away by other physicians… people who were told “nothing can be done,” “learn to live with the pain,” or “what do you expect at your age?” People who were told indefinite use of medications were their only recourse. I have always pursued and learned skills to create long-term solutions for my patients.
I acknowledge the role of medications, but I view most of them to be for life-saving situations, and for temporary relief to help people through tough times, until corrective and rehabilitative solutions can be found and implemented.
