Could Stimulation of the Nerves of Your Outer EAR Help You With Allergies? Get the Facts About Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT)
Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT) is proven, patented, patient-approved, and becoming more popular, nationwide.
SAAT treats the person with the allergy, not the allergy. As you will see, there’s a monumental difference; it’s not just words.
SAAT is not a new “miracle drug” or allergy shot. It is a natural healing supportive procedure. Therefore, it is realistic to expect that mainstream medicine and the media are not going to tell you about it.
Thousands of patients have reported naturally overcoming a wide range of different allergies. This includes allergies to pollen, dust, animal fur and dander, grasses, trees, molds, chemicals, and yes, even foods!
If you’ve had allergies for a long time (even if they’re pretty bad), there’s new hope. Even if you’ve tried many treatments or you’ve been told nothing can be done, SAAT might be highly beneficial to you.

It is quite understandable to wonder, how could a legitimate major medical discovery be overlooked and ignored by the medical field?
If SAAT works like both patients and practitioners say it does, wouldn’t it be praised as one of the great medical breakthroughs of the century?
It would be if that’s how the world worked. It doesn’t. Great discoveries, inventions, innovations, and ideas only get implemented to the benefit of people if they are effectively publicized. Even with scientific evidence and thousands of overjoyed patients, it would be naïve to expect natural and corrective health discoveries and development to be well promoted.
Once you are finished with this article, I promise you will understand. It is true that despite its introduction in 2013 (and 3 existing published medical studies as of February 2022), SAAT has not made news headlines. Doctors been showing little interest in it. In fact, some know about its success are ignoring it! This is perhaps not surprising. Nobody will get rich from this treatment. In fact, it saves people a lot of money (you’ll understand why soon).
The great news is that you do not have to wait for anybody’s approval but your own! In this article you will get the whole story of Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment.
During the summer of 2019, word-of-mouth of SAAT began to go off the charts. People from coast-to-coast flocked to the Liebell Clinic because of the extraordinary health breakthroughs that were taking place, daily. Knowledge of this treatment was being spread by patients, especially through Facebook (I’ll explain what happened in a moment). Since then, awareness of this major medical breakthrough has been enlightening people to the truth—without a shred of help from organized medicine.
All signs point to Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment as the world’s first reproducible, consistent, and lasting corrective natural treatment for people with allergies.
Surprisingly, this ingenious and groundbreaking treatment is NOT the discovery of an allergist or immunologist. Could that be part of the reason why it has been such a secret?
SAAT was discovered, researched, developed, and patented by an anesthesiologist.
SAAT is based upon decades of original scientific research by a neurologist.
SAAT public awareness and education, research expansion, and promotion of practitioner training has been the work of a chiropractor!
SAAT is not a medication, a type of surgery, nor is it an allergy shot. It is a specialized type of acupuncture!
SAAT is not traditional Chinese acupuncture done all over the body; it is a separate science of acupuncture done exclusively on the ear!
SAAT was introduced in 2013 and presented at an official medical symposium in 2014. It was discovered and developed by my acupuncture mentor, anesthesiologist, Nader Soliman, MD of Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Soliman has been a board certified anesthesiologist for over 30 years. He also served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology and pain management at the George Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Soliman is the author of several textbooks, as the world’s leading expert in the specialty of advanced ear acupuncture (auricular medicine), its evaluation, and treatment techniques.
SAAT involves gentle and safe stimulation of tiny nerve endings in the skin of the outer ear. These nerves are extensions of nerves in the brain (cranial nerves). They can be precisely and directly stimulated to trigger the patient’s nervous system to naturally self-correct the body’s underlying immune system malfunction—the allergic reaction. It is not known exactly what happens, but the clinical results are undeniable for the patients.
The medical term for the outer ear is the auricle. Auricular means pertaining to the outer ear. SAAT is a unique specialized ear acupuncture (auricular therapy) treatment. Ear acupuncture has been clinically proven and used worldwide since 1956, when it was introduced by French neurologist, Paul Nogier, MD. Ear acupuncture has been used worldwide, with no shortage of medical studies that support its usage for a wide variety of medical problems. It has long been accepted as a valid medical treatment for a long list of medical conditions by the World Health Organization.
Ear acupuncture is not alternative to anything. It is also separate and distinct from traditional Chinese medicine’s acupuncture done on the whole body. The ancient Chinese, of course, developed acupuncture and the use of acupuncture needles over the course of several thousand years. However, it was Dr. Nogier who figured out the principles of treating the body through the ear. An entire article devoted to ear acupuncture science is available on this website.
What does this have to do with allergies? Decades ago, Dr. Nogier thought this ear acupuncture method might be promising for patients suffering from allergies. His attempts were not sufficiently successful. However, his research and developments laid the foundation for Dr. Nader Soliman’s discovery.
Through his research with the nerve endings of the ear, Dr. Soliman discovered a neurological basis of allergy. In 2014, the peer reviewed medical journal Medical Acupuncture published the first article about his groundbreaking discovery. In his study, 40 patients suffering a variety of allergies to foods and environmental factors became allergy-free as the result of his SAAT method, and have remained allergy free to date.
(Soliman Nader. A Comparison Study of the Effectiveness of SAAT (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment) Approach) and Nogier’s Allergy Treatment Technique. Medical Acupuncture. April 2014, 26(3): 167-172. doi:10.1089/acu.2014.1032.
As a physician acupuncturist, Dr. Soliman discovered a neurological basis for allergies. SAAT is his ingenious and sophisticated method which triggers the body to make an allergy go away on its own. SAAT treats the patient, not the allergy. It is nothing like an allergy shot. It is not an allergy symptom treatment either. This is not just a matter of words.
An extremely careful, precise, and meticulous analysis is necessary to determine each patient’s treatment. There is no general or standard set of points for treatment. Every person’s body is different. No two ears (and their nerve endings) are the same, therefore, no two patients have the same treatment. Every allergen for every person is treated differently. You lie down for evaluation and treatment. It is easy, fast, and safe. The ear acupuncture involved in SAAT is accomplished by sliding tiny, hair thin, 3mm filaments of sterilized stainless steel (shorter than an eyelash) under the skin of the ear. These are the ear acupuncture needles.
You really do not feel much with ear acupuncture. Some people say you barely feel a thing. Other say they felt a no more than a little pinch for a split second. I don't get any complaints, and I do it for kids. By the way, when I say a pinch, I do not mean the insincere “little pinch” or “some discomfort” you might be told when having blood drawn or getting a Novocaine shot for dental work.
To be crystal clear, ear acupuncture is NOTHING whatsoever like having your ears pierced! There is no reason to be scared. The ear acupuncture needles are semi-permanent. They each have a tiny circular handle, which prevents them from getting stuck under the skin! This is also the handle by which the ear acupuncture needle is grasped by tweezers to insert and remove. They lie nearly flat, under the skin.
Once the ear acupuncture needles are inserted (anywhere from just one to as many as seven), they are secured in place and covered up with special tape with a long-lasting medical bandage adhesive (it’s called Mastisol). The ear acupuncture needles stay secured in place with tape for 3 weeks. This is the amount of time necessary for SAAT to work. Dr. Soliman determined this through years of research and development. The tape and the medical adhesive enables these tiny slivers of stainless steel to stay in place to provide the constant nerve stimulus for the required 3 weeks for successful treatment.
There is no commitment required for SAAT. You do not need treatment twice per week for a year and boosters every month for years just to see if it might work. A single treatment is usually all that is necessary to trigger the immune system to stop over-reacting to an allergen (the irritating substance). Plus, multiple allergens can be addressed on a single visit.
You are not leaving the Liebell Clinic with needles sticking out of your head! Unless your ears are being examined by a doctor, nobody is likely to see that your semi-permanent ear acupuncture needles are even there. The tape covers the needles, and the tape is hardly noticeable.
The ear acupuncture needles do NOT fall out unless you pick at them! You can shower! You can sweat. You can get wet. Just don’t rub or scrub your ear in the shower. Pat your ear dry gently with a towel. It really is no big deal at all to have this done. Don’t overthink it! Lots of folks sleep with earrings with no problem. This is far less than that!
You continue to avoid the allergens. When you have SAAT, you don’t change a thing. You continue to avoid the substances (food, chemical, animal, etc.) to which you are allergic (as best you can) over the 3-week period during which the ear acupuncture needles are taped in place.
NOTE: If you are being treated for the purpose of safety and prevention of serious allergic reaction to a substance, under NO circumstances will you intentionally expose yourself to it after treatment. You should NEVER have SAAT, and then intentionally test to see if treatment worked. The Liebell Clinic advises all patients to maintain all medical supports, including EpiPen, antihistamines, etc. SAAT is not a replacement for conventional medical evaluation and testing. It is a wellness-promoting natural health procedure.
Patient do often discover they’ve gotten better when they notice they haven’t reacted from accidental exposure to the previously harmful allergen. Those who have mild and manageable allergic reactions to substances may choose on their own, to test out exposure to the allergen. The general purpose of SAAT is prevention and safety.
The general advice from doctors has been to avoid the things you’re allergic to, whenever possible. Antihistamine medications are commonly used to treat the symptoms.
Sometimes steroids are used for more serious problems, as well as “EpiPen” (epinephrine injection) for anaphylactic shock reactions.
Allergy shots, prescription and over-the-counter medications are given for airborne allergies, but not for food allergies.
Throughout history, various acupuncture methods have been used to help allergies, too. A search of “acupuncture and allergies” at https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, the National Institutes of Health scientific database reveals over one thousand references.
Let’s remember that acupuncture has preceded pharmaceutical medicine by thousands of years. It’s the original medicine, not “alternative!” It appears that the evidence of Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment makes it the premier acupuncture-based supportive measure for natural support for allergies. No other method has ever produced such consistent, lasting, and high-quality results.
Acupuncture does not treat an allergy; it treats the person who has the allergy. This enables the patient to naturally become unbothered by whatever substance is triggering the allergic symptoms.
In no manner is SAAT a covering up of symptoms. It not suppressing the body’s function. We have no doubt from thousands of cases from the clinic of Dr. Nader Soliman, the Liebell Clinic (since 2013) and others around the world that SAAT produces naturally lasting results. We certainly would love to see long term studies conducted. Unfortunately, so far, no major institutions have come knocking on our doors with research grants to prove that a drug-free method (from which nobody becomes wealthy) solves an age-old health problem!
I cannot say enough that Dr. Soliman deserves a Nobel Prize for his discovery! SAAT was introduced in 2013 and presented at a medical symposium in 2014. Generally speaking, naturally corrective medical solutions are not part of mainstream medicine. That’s an entire subject in itself, but it is not the point of this article. The purpose is to educate readers on a treatment that might be incredibly helpful, right now, regardless of doctors’ knowledge, interest, or acceptance of it. It is not acceptance of doctors that it sought; it is patients getting better! Perhaps it’s your turn.
