The Liebell's (Dr. Donald, Dr. Breiten, and Laser Therapist Evan) perform all patient evaluation and treatment, on a strictly scheduled basis. My staff (Sheila Liebell or Barbara Houston) will reserve significant face-to-face time for you with us, to get all the important details of your case. We begin with your comprehensive medical case history consultation. The type of evaluation and/or treatment you will need depends upon what kind of health problems you have. When you call the Liebell Clinic, you will discuss your needs, and the appropriate scheduling will be done.
In some cases, examination procedures, diagnostic testing, imaging, or any other tests can only be determined after we talk. In all cases, we must investigate what is actually going on with your body, far beyond the over-simplified notion that all your troubles are the result of one particular diagnosed medical condition, and especially if you've been told "nothing is wrong with you" or that "nothing can be done for you."
Holistic wellness-based healthcare is about treating the PERSON, not a disease or condition. Many people have similar symptoms, but have completely different causes of their suffering. One of the key factors for helping people to improve from chronic pain and illness is treating each person individually. The most obscure little details about a person can be extremely helpful for us to determine effective supportive holistic treatment. Your medical history prior to your current symptoms and health picture is often just as important—if not more so than current and recent symptoms. It takes considerable time, patience, thoughtfulness, and skill to provide effective holistic wellness-based treatment. The process is quite different from merely prescribing drugs or other treatments that match up with a one-size-fits-al” medical diagnosis.
There is no standard treatment for any one condition. One hundred people could have the same symptoms—each requiring a completely different supportive treatment regimen. Once a thorough health history and consultation is complete, appropriate examination procedures are determined.
We must determine if it is likely that any of my treatment methods will benefit you. I need to see if it is appropriate to accept you as a patient. We'll sit down together and get acquainted. We will see your New Patient History Form (download below) and get an opportunity to learn about your symptoms, and how they are affecting your quality of life.
Our focus will be on what YOUR symptoms are, and what can be done to support your BODY to handle the underlying CAUSES of your symptoms... to support your body's ability to heal itself, naturally. The focus is on what can be done to treat YOU, not your diagnosis.
Treating a diagnosis or a disease, is hardly comprehensive. A diagnosis alone is likely only a partial explanation for your health troubles; it's a starting point.
