Ear Acupuncture (Auricular Therapy) Scientific Research

Sorry skeptics... it's science!

Ear acupuncture is proven & practiced, worldwide

By Dr. Donald Liebell

The specialty of ear acupuncture (auricular therapy) is an internationally documented, recognized, and researched procedure since 1957 when it was introduced in France by Paul Nogier, MD. I hope more American physicians will take the time to read the research and investigate this magnificent and sophisticated healing art, which I have proudly used to bring relief to countless patients in my private practice.

With so many health care methods being paraded under the banner of alternative medicine, it is necessary to provide as much clinical and academic background for procedures to back up claims. Auricular acupuncture is not some strange new unproven technique.

The National Center for Biotechnology Information advances science and health by providing access to biomedical and genomic information. You don't have to be a doctor to have access to virtually any medical research!

Log on to the National Library of Medicine from the National Institutes of Health: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/

Just type "ear acupuncture' in the box, as seen below. You'll see nearly 2,000 studies published in medical journals (including a few of mine!) from around the world.
