My name is Dr. Donald Liebell.
Thank you for considering us to help you. Our family-run clinic provides care for people from across the country, addressing a wide variety of health problems with methods that are innovative, precise, and grounded in science.
Since 1992, it has been my privilege to help people with conditions often labeled “untreatable,” using our unique combination of wellness-based evaluation and treatment methods. The secret to our patients’ success lies in achieving better health through bio-physics rather than relying solely on bio-chemistry. Many of the articles throughout this website explain what that means, in detail.
The Liebell family practices what we preach, and we preach what we personally practice. That order matters. Every method described here has first been used to help our own family. These methods are not simply tools of our trade, they are a way of life for us.
At the Liebell Clinic, I personally provide auricular therapy and bioenergetic immune support for non-spinal conditions, including alpha-gal allergy, Lyme disease, post-COVID disorders, and other complex, chronic problems. These services, rooted in neurological science and bioenergetic medicine, are at the heart of my work and continue to help patients from coast-to-coast who have exhausted conventional options.
As of August of 2025, most spine and other musculoskeletal care is provided by my son, Dr. Breiten Liebell. Dr. Breiten continues our family’s legacy of precise, gentle, and results-focused care for patients with chronic pain, migraines, vertigo, neck pain, back pain, shoulder, hip, knee, post-concussion problems, and other spine-related conditions. He is assisted by my son, Evan Liebell, our laser therapist.
Every article on this website is written by myself and/or Dr. Breiten Liebell and Evan Liebell. Unlike many health websites that use ghostwritten content, everything here reflects our direct clinical experience and philosophy. You will find detailed explanations of what the Liebell Clinic does differently from other healthcare facilities, why we do it, and how.
I am also proud to be the author of more than a dozen papers published in peer-reviewed medical journals, as well as my book, Biting Back: How to Naturally Overcome the Chronic Effects of Lyme Disease and Other Tick-Triggered Illness…After All Else Has Failed.

Dr. Breiten Liebell brings wisdom, experience, and clinical skills well beyond his youthful years, having grown up immersed in the knowledge, methods, and philosophy that define the Liebell Clinic. From an early age, he witnessed and absorbed the very same care that has helped patients from across the country when all else has failed.
As an Atlas Orthogonist, Dr. Breiten specializes in precise, non-force correction of the upper cervical spine, restoring optimal neurological function for patients with chronic pain, migraines, vertigo, post-concussion complications, and other complex spine-related conditions. In addition to his mastery of the Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic procedure, he is also highly trained in the Thompson Chiropractic Technique, Activator Methods, and Torque Release Technique, each providing a unique, gentle, and effective approach tailored to the individual needs of every patient.
Dr. Breiten also integrates auricular therapy into his clinical work when appropriate, applying the principles and techniques he learned directly under the guidance of Dr. Donald Liebell, who has decades of experience and international recognition for his expertise in the field. This direct mentorship ensures that Dr. Breiten’s application of auricular therapy reflects the same precision, safety, and effectiveness that has helped patients from around the world.
His unique position as the second generation of Liebell family practitioners means that every patient benefits from the combined strength of two generations of clinical expertise. As our Office Manager and, more importantly, your Patient Pre-Treatment Services Advisor, Sheila is the first and essential point of contact in your journey toward better health.
With more than 33 years of experience at the Liebell Clinic, Sheila’s insight into patient needs, treatment processes, and the nuances of our care is unmatched. Her knowledge and perspective are so extensive that having Sheila on your side is like having a third doctor, without the degree, guiding you every step of the way. She takes a personal interest in your wellbeing like nobody you’ve met before, making sure every detail is handled and nothing is left to chance. When Sheila is looking out for you, you can bet the whole Liebell team is going to be on their A-game.

Evan liebell - Laser Therapist
Evan Liebell provides professional laser therapy and biophotonic services at the Liebell Clinic. He integrates Erchonia low-level laser therapeutic technology into patient care with precision, consistency, and a commitment to scientific integrity. He provides advanced treatments for neuromusculoskelatal problems with the Erchonia PL5 therapeutic red laser and the Zerona VZ8 violet laser system, which he administers for non-invasive fat-reduction programs. His work reflects the clinic’s philosophy that health is supported through physics, not chemistry, and that non-invasive technologies can play a meaningful role in restoring and supporting normal biological function.
Evan, a former elite college hockey player, brings a foundation in athletics, strength training, and sports ergonomics. He applies these experiences to enhance patient guidance regarding posture, biomechanics, and practical home strategies that support laser-based treatments. Evan performs every Zerona VZ8 session and incorporates Erchonia’s PL5 red laser into each treatment plan to optimize circulation, lymphatic activity, and neuromuscular efficiency. His work complements Dr. Donald & Dr. Breiten Liebell's multi-disciplinary care, creating a seamless integration between laser therapy.

Barbara Houston has been part of the heart and soul of the Liebell Clinic for around 20 years, and she feels like family to just about everyone who knows her. She is often the friendly voice you hear on the phone and the welcoming smile you see when you walk through the door. From the moment you connect with Barbara, you know you are in the care of someone who truly wants the best for you.
Her two decades of experience mean she knows this clinic inside and out, and she uses that knowledge to make your visits smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. Barbara works side-by-side with Sheila and both doctors to ensure every detail of your care is handled before you even see the doctor. She will make sure your questions are answered, your concerns are addressed, and you feel completely at ease every step of the way.
